Parmesan Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts
Crunchy, salty, sweet. Basically the perfect bite.
These Brussels sprouts are crispy, golden, and loaded with flavor thanks to delicious shreds of Gardner’s Aged Parmesan and a generous drizzle of Gardner’s Hot Honey. Whether you’re a lifelong Brussels sprouts fan or a total skeptic, this recipe has star power. It’s the kind of dish that steals the show without even trying.
Ingredients:
-
1½ lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
-
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
⅓ cup Gardner’s Aged Parmesan, finely grated (divided)
-
2 tablespoons Gardner’s Hot Honey, for drizzling
- A drizzle of fresh lemon juice (to taste)
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
-
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Add two-thirds of the Parmesan (about 3 tablespoons) and mix until evenly coated.
-
Arrange the Brussels sprouts cut side down in a single layer on the baking sheet (this is important to get them extra crispy). Roast for 20 to 22 minutes, flipping halfway through.
-
Remove from the oven, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan over the top, and broil on high for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is golden and crispy. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
-
Transfer to a serving plate and drizzle with fresh lemon and a generous drizzle of Gardner’s Hot Honey while still warm. Serve immediately.
Makes & Serves:
Yield: 4 side servings
Serving idea: Serve alongside grilled chicken, lemony pasta, or spoon into a warm grain bowl.
Why We Love It:
The combo of crispy roasted Brussels sprouts, salty aged cheese, and sweet heat from the hot honey is completely addictive. Even the skeptics will be asking for seconds.
